GROUP: Location Reccie- Wilderness Woods

On the 5th of December as a group we took a trip to Wilderness Woods in order to perform a location reccie and risk assessment of a woodland environment, we also had the opportunity to film a short horror sequence over the course of the day.
Upon arrival we set out for roughly half an hour examining the surroundings while photographing places of interest and noting any dangerous aspects we needed to be wary of.
We then planned a short story and created a call sheet and shot list I order to help us with time management and help with location shooting before setting out for the shoot.
As well as following our call sheet the use of a track and 'steadicam' equipment allowed us to experiment with our filmmaking and explore different camera techniques as well as creating our own shots and managed to complete our shoot in the time we had comfortably.
However as a group we felt that with more time to plan a storyboard or perhaps develop the plot we may have been able to achieve a lot more.

  1. Some good comments although you need to sort out the presentation of this post, ie. the risk assessment needs to be rotated and should have a caption attached to it to explain what it is and what you learned from doing it
